    Records Galore

The new edition of Australian All-Schools competition produced record galore for our club. The competition was held in Melbourne (Box Hill) and our contingent included athletes from all three age groups: U14s, U16s and U18s. The new format made it harder not only to make the team but also there were less medals on offer as two age groups were combined in one.

    State Relays 2010 - Report

Over the past weekend our club participated in NSW State Relays. We entered initially 12 teams but had to scratch two. First one to go was Open Women 4x200m team when Rachel Hardy injured herself in training just day before competition. Second one was Under 16 Girls 4x1500m because of issues related to dual registration with Little Athletics. Remaining ten teams won six medals. The highlight was victory by Under 14 Girls in 4x800m event. The setback was lack of any sprinting team.

    Commonwealth Games Results

After a lot of negative coverage by world-wide media, Commonwealth Games in Delhi finally finished. In the end it wasn't so bad. Australian athletic team performed very well despite the absence of few big guns namely Dani Samuels, Mitch Watt, Ryan Gregson and Jeff Riseley. Randwick Botany athletes Jeremy Roff and Jeff Hunt proudly represented Australia and our club.
