    NSW Cross Country Relays Big Success

    Our club put together 11 teams and came home with three gold and one bronze medal. On top of that we had two 4th places. Open man team dominated the main race with Jeremy Roff (pictured left) clocking the fastest 4k of the day - 11:17.

    Jeff Hunt selected for Commonwealth Games

     

    Jeff Hunt has been selected to represent Australia in the marathon in the  forthcoming Commonwealth Games to be held in India.
    Jeff made a sensational Marathon debut recently in Japan with a time of 2 hours and 11 minutes. This is the fastest Australian marathon time for some 6 years and by running this time Jeff demanded to be selected.

    Jeff is club captain of RBH as well as a member of the committee.  He joins fellow RBH club member and training partner Jeremy Roff in the Australian team.

    Interview with Tara Holt


    Tara Holt is back with Randwick Botany Harriers and she came back in style. She lowered club 100m hurdles record on three occasions this season. Old record was 14.24 sec and this is still U20 club record held together by Tara and Bianca Debartolo. Tara broke 14 seconds few times, the latest being her 13.91 sec mark that she ran in heats of National Championships in Perth. We caught up with Tara to chat about her training and season this year.

    NSW Cross Country Relays, 29 May

    Every year our club participate in NSW cross country relays. It is fun event and run on the challenging course. Every team consists of 4 runners.
    We managed to put together 10 teams, the highlight being our Open Men team who will very likely be a top contender for a gold medal. Also, our U18 boys, U16 girls, U20 boys and 35+ Men team are very strong. The teams are now complete. Please bring your club uniform, reggo bib and be prepared for wet conditions.     Jeremy Roff selected in Commonwealth Games Team

     

    Randwick Botany Harriers member Jeremy Roff has been selected to run for Australia in the 1500 meters at the forth coming Commonwealth Games in India. This is his second Commonwealth Games team (after also being selected in 2006).
