    Olympic champion Elaine Thompson retained her national 100m title with a hard fought victory over two-time Olympic and three-time world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce on Friday (22), the second day of the Jamaican Championships in Kingston.
  • Bentley notches upset 100m win at Jamaican Junior Championships
    Michael Bentley is not regarded as one of Jamaica’s most promising young sprinters for nothing. On Friday night (22), the second day of the Jamaican National Junior Championships, he sent shockwaves defeating a quality field to win the U20 100m title.

    Australian Junior Championships, Homebush 11th - 14th March 2010

    Randwick Botany Harriers juniors performed exceptionally well at recently held Australian Junior Championships in Sydney. Our future stars came home with four bronze medals and three club U18 records.

    Interview with James Roff

    James Roff, 400m hurdles specialist, missed most of the last season due to injury but this year he is on the way up. After couple of minor warm-up races (including 800m early in the season) he ran very good 400m hurdles at Sydney Track Classic clocking 51.44 sec for 4th place. Then five days later at IAAF Grand Prix in Melbourne he came 4th again but this time he clocked 51.17 sec (The elusive Commonwealth Games B qualifier is 50.54 sec).

    Sydney Track Classic 2010


    At what is the best athletics meet that Sydney can offer our club was represented in 1500m and 400m hurdles races. Jeremy Roff finished 5th in very classy 1500m field in Commonwealth Games A qualifier of 3:36.79. The race was won by sensational Ryan Gregson in 3:35.42 which is a new meet record.

    Interview with Rachel Hardy

    Rachel Hardy is an outstanding young athlete. She specializes in err... everything, she is heptathlete, actually the best in Australia for her age group. She won national U18 heptathlon this year and last year she won same competition in U17 age group.
