NSW Cross Country Relays 2011

NSW Cross Country Relays will take place at Miranda Park on 28th May. Our club has been prominent in this event for many years and we want to continue that tradition.
We formed final teams but we are still short of one runner in Under 16 boys team (we can put girl if there is one available).

Australian and World Records by Julie Forster

At the masters meeting in Brisbane on 26th April Randwick Botany Harriers master sprinter Julie Forster clocked 12.64 sec for 100m which is new Australian 50+ record. Previous record was 13.04 held by Marj Allison. At same competition Julie was also a  member of 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams (45+ age group) that broke world records.

Australian Junior Championships 2011 - Report

RBH juniors put up brilliant performance at Australian Junior Championships 2011. We end up winning 2 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals. On top of that half of performances were PBs which is extraordinary considering the pressure of the big competition. As expected, Steven Solomon (pictured left - yes, that is him), comfortably won his 400m. Joshua Johnson, who wasn't initially on the start lists, won the second gold for our club in U20 5000m.

Australian Open Championships 2011

89th edition of Australian Open Track and Field Championships were held at Melbourne Olympic Park last weekend (15th to 17th April). This was the last time this iconic track is going to be used for domestic athletic competition because, believe it or not, Olympic Park will be turned into a training ground for AFL club Collingwood. This year our club had only 4 representatives but quality of performances was such that we should really be proud of them.

Australian Junior Championships 2011

Junior athletes from our club are competing this weekend at Australian Track and Field Junior Championships. The competition will be held over five days (10 - 14 Mar) at Sydney Olympic Park and will feature the future stars of our sport. Randwick Botany Harriers will have a big contingent of talented young athletes, in fact 24 of them will represent NSW and our club. We urge club supporters to come along and cheer for our upcoming athletes.
