    Interesting facts

Jeremy started his running with South Eastern Little Athletics at the age of 7 through to the 15 years age group competing at a state level. Under the guidance of Anne Saville he went onto join Randwick Botany Harriers along with attending Waverley College until the age of 18 years. Upon leaving school he seeked greater challenges in the sport and therefore joined Ken Green's squad of elite runners.
A significant jump in training volume and four years of injury free running suddenly proved a very successful formula. A quality base due to cross country and winter sessions helped set up a constant platform for track running.
Following his first Open National track medal (3rd place 1500m), he was selected in his first Australian team. The opening leg (5km) of The Beijing Ekiden 2005 in China, this gave him confidence to aim for higher achievements which came in 2006 with selection in the Commonwealth Games Team (1500m, 8th place) along with (4km, 58th place) at the World cross country Championships in Fukuoka, Japan. Jeremy's younger brother James competes in 400m hurdles at a national level.
