    On the second day of the IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014, when eight gold medals were decided, there was plenty to excite the enthusiastic crowd in Hayward Field and plenty of debate about who should take pride of place.
  • Report: men’s 100m – IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014
    Kendal Williams of the host USA ran 10.21 to win the men’s 100m final at the end of the second day of competition at the IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014. Williams led a US 1-2 sweep, as team-mate Trayvon Bromell – the world junior record holder at 9.97* earlier this season – took second in 10.28.
  • Report: men’s decathlon 1500m – IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014
    Jiri Sykora made history by becoming the first Czech male athlete to win gold in the history of the IAAF World Junior Championships and he did so in impressive fashion by breaking the championship record with 8135 points.
  • Report: women's 100m – IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014
    Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith ran 11.23 to take the women’s 100m title in a dominating blocks-to-finish performance.
  • Report: women's long jump – IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014
    Akela Jones made history by becoming the first athlete from Barbados to win a medal of any colour at the IAAF World Junior Championships as she won the long jump final with a leap of 6.34m.
