  • Report: men's 400m hurdles - IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014
    Jamaica’s Jaheel Hyde flew to victory in 49.29 to take the 400m hurdles after taking command of the race between the seventh and eighth hurdles.
  • Report: women's shot put - IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014
    China’s Tianqian Guo confirmed her status as favourite with a dominant victory. The 2011 world youth champion and 2014 world junior leader was a class apart, producing the only 17-metre efforts of the afternoon. She took the lead with her opening 16.96m and increased it by more than one metre with her fourth round effort of 17.71m.
  • Report: men's hammer throw - IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014
    Ashraf Amgad Al-Seifi became the first athlete to successfully defend his title at the IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014, in Eugene as the Qatari dominated the hammer final with a world-leading mark of 84.71m, just under a metre shy of his world record of 85.57m set two year ago when winning at Barcelona 2012.
  • Taylor, Richardson and Merritt welcome Belocian to the world junior medallists club
    US Olympians Christian Taylor, Jason Richardson, and Aries Merritt met with the press at Hayward Field after the morning session on Friday (25) at the IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014.
  • Crowd control collapses as Cain beats her rivals into submission
    In front of a crowd numbering, according to the organisers, just over 8000, Mary Cain won the first medal of any colour for a US woman in a distance longer than 800m in IAAF World Junior Championships history when she won the 3000m on Thursday evening (24).

    NSW Road Relays - Report

    Our club didn't enter many teams for State Road Relay Championships but those competing on the day performed brilliantly. This competition was held only 6 days after Gold Coast Marathon which didn't help. Also few good runners opted to run 10k fun run the following day instead of competing for the club and that was disappointing. We entered 5 teams only but the medal tally for the day was more than impressive: 3 gold and 1 silver medal.

    NSW Road Relays - Final Teams

    State Road Relays are to be held at Ourimbah (The University of Newcastle Central Coast Campus) on Saturday 12th July. We are calling all available runners to participate in this important event. It is fun event that caters for all age groups with teams comprising of 4 runners competing over distances of 4 x 2km and 4 x 4km.

    State Relays 2014

     

    State relays are to be held at Miranda Park on Saturday 31st May. Traditionally our club participate at this competition and even dominate some events. Every year we try to put the best possible teams in every age group.

    Rockdale Fun Run

    The Albie Thomas Rockdale Fun Run takes place on Sunday 25 May at the Peter Depena Reserve Dolls Point.

    The Rockdale Fun Run has been renamed The Albie Thomas Rockdale Fun Run in memory of our most famous athlete Albie Thomas OAM who passed away late last year.
