    World indoor silver medallist Su Bingtian will take on a trio of Britain’s leading sprinters at the Muller Indoor Grand Prix Birmingham when he defends his 60m title at the now sold-out IAAF World Indoor Tour meeting on 16 February.

    The IAAF is deeply saddened to hear that Italian press officer Alessio Giovanni died on Wednesday (16) at the age of 40.
  • Kipsang and Kosgei latest additions to London Marathon fields
    Former world record-holder Wilson Kipsang and Chicago Marathon champion Brigid Kosgei are among the latest athletes added to the line-up for the Virgin Money London Marathon, an IAAF Gold Label road race, on 28 April.
  • Kejelcha, Cheserek and Brazier lead Boston’s middle-distance clashes
    Organisers of the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix have announced that world indoor champion Yomif Kejelcha, multiple NCAA champion Edward Cheserek and a handful of the USA’s leading 800m runners are among the latest additions to the line-up for the IAAF World Indoor Tour meeting in Boston on 26 January.
  • Husillos and Santos to renew rivalry in Madrid
    Oscar Husillos provided one of the standout moments of last year’s Madrid Indoor Meeting as he sped to victory in the 400m. The Spanish sprinter will return to the IAAF World Indoor Tour meeting on 8 February to take on another high-quality field.

    NSW Junior Championships, Homebush 13 & 14th Feb

    Steven Solomon winning State U18 400m Over the past couple of days young guns from our club were chasing state titles at Homebush. The competition incorporated U14, U16, U18 and U20 divisions. As expected we had number of athletes in middle distance events but we also showed strength in sprints, couple of field events and also walks.

    Hunter Track Classic, Newcastle, 6th Feb

    Sean Williams reports from Hunter Track Classic held in Newcastle on Saturday


    Scott Westcott did a marvellous job as meet director. The music was pumping, the commentator was on the ball, the new track looked great and 2000 track fans were very vocal as many of Australia's best athlete's took to centre stage.

    Breaking news from Beppu-Oita Marathon

    In his debut marathon Jeff Hunt runs a blinder. He came third and clocked 2:11:00. This time is an A-Commonwealth Games qualifier, NSW record (previously held by Danny Boltz with 2:11:10) and new club record (previously held by John Stanley with 2:17:04).
    The second Australian representative, Martin Dent, clocked 2:13:27 which is a personal best time.

    State 5000m and Allcomers meet

    Randwick Botany Harriers was represented very well at the NSW 5000m Championships and Athletics NSW Allcomers meet.

    State Club Championships

    Randwick Botany Harriers men came 6th at Club Championships while women team, although incomplete, finished 9th. As expected, strong performances came from distance guys, namely first two places in 3000m but icing on the cake was win in 4x400m relays.
